AI Services (NI) Ltd. came into being on 1st October 1988, taking over the A. I. function previously operated by the Department of Agriculture.
The Company's business is to supply an efficient and effective A.I. service to livestock producers throughout Northern Ireland.
AI Services receive sire data from a third party provider, it was a requirement of the new website to use this data effectively. As a result each sire on the website shows detailed information from production proof numbers to management traits and conformation, which is updated quarterly at every new pedigree proof run.
Breeders can use the sire selector to search for bulls that match their chosen breeding criteria from milk to pli and fat to protein percentage.
Enquiring about a sire generates a wishlist, multiple bulls can be added, which can then be submitted at the end by completing one form.
When a news item is added to the website an email campaign is sent to subscribers, showing the information with a link back to the website.
